My goal is to help people see as well as possible, at all stages of life.
For children, correcting problems at a young age can make a profound difference to their vision long-term.
Helping seniors maximize their vision allows them to maintain their independence and enjoyment of life.
I also find diagnosing and managing eye health issues fulfilling, as these can be devastating if left untreated.
I'm originally from Nova Scotia, where I completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at Dalhousie University. I then graduated from the Doctor of Optometry program at the University of Waterloo, with honours.
Since that time, I have been fortunate to have had the opportunity to practice in many diverse communities in Ontario, Nova Scotia, New Zealand, Australia, and now British Columbia, where I have been since 2004.
Although most of my time has been spent in private practice, I have also worked in a laser refractive surgery centre and taught Optometry at the University of Auckland, New Zealand.
